Our society of superstitious scientists Has been satirized from the start Castigated with the most degrading terminology Told our conception was a fault So now we’ve piqued our interest in a house on seventh street On the corner of what’s known and what is not to be Through the window you can see Cardboard boxes filled with dreams of everything that you could ever want to know But we’re not ones for breaking and entry so we won’t step foot inside Yeah we’ve all got lines we wouldn’t cross and we won’t commit a crime Lawfully observing from the outside Last night I caught a sight One sight right from a dream Last night One sight I saw a ghost there An apparition of the past Humanoid in figure just beyond the glass I saw a ghost there Saw him with my own two eyes Just one ghost is needed to legitimize our cause

Bright Eyes 03:02
I've always been scared to say That I know He's not perfect He can't be in every way But right now I can't know that 'Cause when he looks at me My reflection's glowing within His bright eyes And I feel fine I've always been scared of change Or something new growing But when I'm with him I feel safe Like the time's somehow slowing I've always heard that bright eyes can blind you from what lies beneath But Silas is perfect And nothing can hurt that And somehow he sees that in me No, Silas Strong is not a god but he may as well be 'Cause he's perfect ya know and he's just like me Or at least Who I want To be

We're but the precursors to something much greater than us 'Cause no matter what we are, time will ensure that we're one-upped Innovation drives the clock's arms to spin around But I'm not even a cog, 'cause I just never learned how to count I may not be a scientist, a doctor, or a saint But that might be okay For if we're all but pieces in time's random game Then someone's gotta fill the empty space And that's gotta count for something Yeah, life's gotta count for something Inherently life counts So I need not ever learn how to count
